Lost Decade Games Releases First Look At “Indie Game Sim”

For most gamers, making their own game has always been a dream, with a select through turning that into reality. Those who make a game are refereed to as Indie Game devs.

There’s a game titled, rather simply, “Indie Game Sim”  by Lost Decade Games which acts as a simulator, platformer hybrid. The game seems to have some very, retro graphics to showcase itself, and as a result, looks very pixelated, arty, and simple. The trailer, that was released last month, October 3rd 2016, shows various stages of the game.

It shows the simplicity of designing a games level within the game, and even shows that you can playtest your level. There’s a way to publish your games to the in-game fantasy store system, choosing a price for it and shows you stats of how well you game is doing with the players that purchased it. You get to see a system where you can purchase things for your game creation inventory, and it looks as if you can play the games to unlock certain things, one thing that appears to be teased is completing a level to get the game pushed to the market.

The First Look video that came out yesterday, the 11th November 2016, and features 16 minutes of gameplay with the developer narrating his actions. It shows you a very in-depth look at what you can do, and shows the marketplace a lot more, showing that you can increase game stats, and inventory options. You can see a system in place where, when playtesting, you get notifications in real time showing the areas that have “Fun” elements, danger elements, etc.

It looks interesting and very well thought out, there is even a enemy that seems to signify the darkness that most indie game developers go through. The feeling of depression, isolation, worries. You’re trying to avoid that as best you can,

Indie Game Sim is planned for a release on Steam on the 8th December 2016.for Windows and Mac. The First Look video can be found below.

This game looks really cool! I quite like game developer sims, but you aren’t usually able to play the game that you have developed… great idea!
