Lost in Cult has announced their partnership with Re-Logic, to celebrate Terraria’s 15-year anniversary. Terraria has been a household name for years, selling 20 million copies a few years after it was released. This is a premium book charting the design and development of the iconic 2D sandbox adventure game, that was created back in 2011.
Terraria: Design Works was written by Christian Donlan. This book covers where Terraria came from, why the game works in the way it does, and why it’s continued to be a household name over the last 15 years. This book is soft cover, printed on holographic foil, but if you grab the deluxe edition instead you can get a hard-shell slipcase to keep your book in perfect shape.
Through this book, you can get to know the team who worked with Andrew Spinks to evolve the game’s original design, crafting the game into what it is today.
Along with the book, Terraria: Design Works comes with a bunch of little freebies, including a special Terraria Card Game; Bestiary Blitz, where you can face enemies and bosses from Terraria against each other, trying to collect all of your opponents cards to win. There is holographic foil on the back of each card, making them feel very luxurious.
Fans can also enjoy a paper theatre trinket from Christina Antoinette Neofotistou (Cast Pixel), which has a beautiful laying system in it, along with a pin badge set and some cute postcards.
Terraria: Design Works comes with so many beautiful collectors items that really feel like they celebrate Terraria. It’s really a perfect gift for Terraria fans and the amount of extra loot int he Deluxe Edition looks fantastic too.
