Ruins of the Reckless, a Kickstarter successful project by Faux-Operative Games has had a release date revealed with a new trailer to highlight the date.
Ruins of the Reckless, a top-down, rouge-like brawler, in which a single-player or two players locally, can take control of Stellar, or Stargrove and travel up the tower. The latest trailer shows of gameplay footage, but also shows a huge collection of enemies, and shows the way that you can take them out.
I feel like the game has a type of, Hyper Light Drifter feel to it regarding the graphics, and EiC, Dann has mentioned that it reminds him of the style from Skipchaser, and the combat features weapons, and spells, but there is also a card system in which players will be able to combine cards to create custom rules before a “run” starts. These will either bring a positive perk or a drawback.
The Kickstarter saw the developer looking for a $10,000 and ended up with a $17,656 total.
Ruins of the Reckless will be arriving on PC on the 26th April 2017, it’ll be available on Steam, and Itch.io.
