Game Streaming Platform, Utomik Getting New Partner, Reveal Next Week

Utomik, a game streaming platform seems to have landed another partner to add more titles to their growing collection of games to play on a subscription basis.

Announced through the below Twitter Post, Utomik are teasing the 13th of April to be the reveal of one of their new partners that look to be joining the growing list of games.

During February, Utomik revealed a new Family Plan subscription which comes in at, £8.49 a month. The individual subscription lands in at £4.49 a month. A trial period allows players to try the service for 14 days. As well as the Family Plan, they also announced that they had gained access to bring some popular Star Wars games to the platform.

We were offered a pass for the service and I have been using it. The idea behind Utomik is that the game downloads in the background, while you play almost instantly after downloading a small portion of the game, just enough for it to run. With my experience so far, I haven’t had a problem as of yet, except the slow boot up times. Certainly worth a look, I ran a piece in which I rambled about Telltale Games in a game that was running through Utomik.

The partner reveal is certainly getting us wondering who could be coming to the platform, the header that they used to illustrate the reveal date tweet seems to show two characters who could be linked to the reveal. The one on the right seems to ring a bell in terms of the post, and if I defocus my eyeballs, I can see a sword being held behind the character. I’ve spent ages thinking up who it could be, Square Enix? Bandai Namco? Badland Games? I just can’t make it out! Anyone else have any thoughts?
