The recent Warhammer Skulls 2026 event has been absolutely teeming with announcements, discounts and freebies to keep fans of the Grimdark fantasy setting occupied, and it doesn’t slow yet, with today’s announcements right here.
With the annual celebration of everything Warhammer reaching it’s 10th anniversary on the 21st of May there’s been a ton of announcements and world premieres such as Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch. It’ll allow you to don the mantle of one of the Imperium’s most deadly elite alien hunters, a Deathwatch Inquisitor, and shape your squad to be an effective fighting force in this brand new turn based tactical RPG.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster was also premiered allowing you to instead become one with the Skaven and take on the role of a Skaven Assassin in a grit filled 2D action platformer as you skulk and skitter through levels and grow stronger as one of the quieter Ratmen.
There was also news of the Helldivers 2 crossover with the 40,000 universe in the form of a collaboration, I do believe the uncanny charm of Super Earth will be in for a bit of a shock as some of the more notable factions from the 40,000 roster could show their face to aid in the defence from a different kind of xeno.
The Skulls Sale continues across many different platforms such as Steam, Xbox, Playstation and many more, featuring deep discounts on some of your favourite entries to the many Warhammer series available. Until the 28th of May you can get up to 90% off on some titles as well as claim Warhammer 40,000: Gladius for free to keep on Steam but act soon as this will only be until the 28th of May as well.
Content that’s available right now for you to delve into includes:
- Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II which was just released during the Skulls event on PC, Xbox XIS and Playstation 5.
- Two brand new demos for Warhammer Survivors as well as Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 which also both launched during the show and can be played through until the 28th of May.
- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has a brand new update called Purgation which was shadow dropped alongside the Iron Hands, this new content adds a brand new level for PVE, cosmetics, and updates to the overall game.
- Total War: Warhammer III has just had the Bhashiva Character Pack DLC released letting you finally get ahold of some of the more beastly units for the Grand Cathay faction and is available now to purchase. A new legendary hero was also added as free content, featuring Taoyan the Merciless who can be recruited as a legendary lord.
- Warhammer 40,000 Battlesector’s Ultramarines DLC has just been released alongside it’s 1.0 crusade update.
- Rust – Warhammer 40,000 Pack has finally come to consoles as well as Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks
Upcoming content includes Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader’s Infinite Museion DLC is soon to be released on the 11th of June as well as the Skitarii Class for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide which will be available on the 23rd of June.
Finally the launch of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is on the 17th of September with those that order the Commander Edition for pre order, able to access it on the 14th of September.
