Hunt Showdown: 1896 is absolutely filled to the brim with grit, hardcore mechanics and monumental horrors, and with the new event, Blood Testament releasing on September 8th there will be a lot more battles down in the bayou.
Hunt Showdown: 1896 has been no stranger to events and we’ve been playing it since it was on the Microsoft Game Preview Program, reporting back then that it “might be the most promising online shooter of the past three or four years“.
Some of the most popular events have had players coming back to the game for some of the more exclusive rewards as well as new gameplay elements that were added. I myself loved the “As The Crow Flies” event that introduced a new boss as well as mechanics around gaining points which you could eventually hand in for the prestigious Plague Doctor character.
Blood Testament will feature its own unique gameplay as well as rewards like previous iterations of events and will be focused on gathering blood with progression unlocks, a new battle pass, new story challenge, new weapon, new monster and much much more all of which can be found in the roadmap below.
A new character DLC will also release alongside the Blood Testament event, The Sage of Josean which will feature the Roaming Sage, A new legendary hunter as well as a new weapon skin, the Cold Patience for the Uppercut pistol. This will also have a skin for Hunting Bow, Dynamite Stick, Waxed Dynamite Stick as well as a new avatar and frame featuring the Roaming Sage. It’s important to stress that the DLC is cosmetic only and doesn’t feature any new content in itself.
With the Blood Moon rising and Blood Testament on the horizon, Hunt Showdown: 1986 is going to be very busy and with so much content being released well into the end of the year there’s enough to keep players involved well into Christmas with the Halloween event also being added into the roadmap for Blood Testament.
