Having been on PC for a couple of years now, Wired Productions are finally bringing arcade kart racer, Speed Freeks, over to PlayStation and Xbox — and bringing platform crossplay with it… ensuring that you can race all the gitz!
Speed Freeks isn’t a port of any other well known kart games, oh no. It captures the grungy universe of Warhammer brilliantly. By piloting buggies, tanks and helicopters, you’ll be racing other gitz on huge race courses, using your advanced movement to blow ’em up and avoid getting blown up yourself! If you’re a big Warhammer fan, especially of the Ork faction, this’ll be right up your alley. It has model accurate renditions of Ork buggies and Deffkoptas, and when you combine those with the games in-game editor for your ride, you can produce some truly sick looking vehicles, that almost look like they’ve been kit-bashed in real life!
The fun and customisation doesn’t stop there though; there’s also a very in depth level creator, meaning you can build your dream race track to exterminate your friends or other gitz — sorry, I mean players, I don’t know what’s coming over me — from all around the world. The most impressive part of the level editor, for me, is that it’s all in real time, meaning that you and your gitz can sit together and build some truly massive arenas, worthy of Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka himself!
