Wonder Boy Returns (No, not the LizardCube Wonder Boy title, this is the one by CFK) has launched back on the 30th March for the PS4.
Wonder Boy Returns is CFK’s latest title, originally launched on Steam last year, it is a HD remake of the classic, “Wonder Boy” title that was originally released back in 1986 by “Escape” who have been renamed to “Westone Bit Entertainment”.
The HD remake of this classic title sees the characters recreated from scratch in a new design. The setting has also been tweaked up to be higher quality, and far more vibrant than the original title. The gameplay sticks to the originals simplicity, with players needing to get items, avoid obstacles, and restore HP with food. A skateboard can be found which will increase your moving speed.
There are some new elements though that CFK have dropped in, such as a 40 additional stages with some extra monsters lurking around. These have been authorised by the original creator, so everything is legit. There are some new bosses bringing new challenges to the player.
Wonder Boy Returns is available for the PC and PS4 and is a singleplayer title.
