Impact Winter Now Available on PC, New Trailer Released
BANDAI NAMCO have pushed a trailer on their YouTube channel showing a new trailer for the PC release of Impact Winter.
Impact Winter, the latest title from Mojo Bones has arrived (23/05/2017) on PC and will be arriving later in the year for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
After being originally planned for an April release, the game was pushed to a May release date to finalise development. Dann had a hands on experience with the title during the EGX Rezzed event this year, you can read his thoughts here.
The title puts players in a post-apocalyptic environment with the characters holding onto hope that the signal they got saying the help will be arriving in thirty days is genuine. You play as Jacob, the leader of the four survivors under his command residing within a derelict church. With Ako-Light, a robot alongside the survivors, players can drill for supplies, light up dark areas, act as a storage system, and track your position.
“When we started working on Impact Winter, little did we realise how big the journey would become. Now, with a week until launch, we’re very nearly here. Impact Winter is often categorised as a ‘survival’ game, but our intention from the start was to try to and build on the genre through our love of Adventure and RPG games: a new take on the ‘survive-as-long-as-possible’ formula that plays with familiar rules. Prior to launch, we’d like to say a final thank you to all our supporters and collaborators. Impact Winter has been developed by a core team of 5 people – a huge undertaking for a game of this scale – and the support we’ve received along the way has been invaluable. Hopefully our passion for creating the world of Impact Winter is there for all to see.” – Stuart Ryall (Co-founder, game designer – Mojo Bones Ltd)
The title launched on PC today digitally, and will launch later in the year on PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-ordered editions of the game will also bring the exclusive soundtrack composed by Mitch Murder.
