9 – Overcooked 2
Overcooked 2 is a local multiplayer game where you and up to three friends work together in chaotic kitchens, trying to fulfil orders and keep the chaos to a minimum. With orders flying in, each one with a limited time to plate, everyone needs to be on their toes!
In later levels, there are even risks like fire, mice and items that can fall out of the kitchen. Overcooked 2 has a habit of giving players roles, as you need a head chef to keep everyone in line. Someone always ends up shouting to the others ‘Chop the onions!’, ‘This burrito needs to be delivered!’ etc. so that there is a head of the kitchen and a flow to the game.
Players who do not take direction easily can end up hampering the team, so a lot of teamwork needs to be done, but when the flow is good, you can feel how well the team works together and feel very accomplished at the end. Overcooked 2 is just an amazing game.
