E3 2017 | Star Wars Battlefront 2 Gameplay Trailer & Details

While we already ran coverage on the gameplay trailer being announced, more details have come to light. So here is a bigger look at Star Wars Battlefront 2.

EA ran a press conference called, EA Play on Saturday that saw the start of E3 2017, and amongst a load of games that were introduced by various handfuls of YouTuber’s was the highly anticipated, Star Wars Battlefront 2 title. We got to see a high quality gameplay trailer showing off various features and characters.

The title will merge the three original trilogies, the prequels, and the new Disney films into one title, and will see a huge array of characters going against one another in huge 20v20 multiplayer battles. There is also a singleplayer story. But first let’s focus on the multiplayer. With up to 40 players shooting it out in some of the franchises biggest locations as various heroes, special characters, and general foot soldiers that can take to the battle in air vehicles or land vehicles. A list of vehicles see’s AT-RT Walkers, V-Wings, Mtt’s, N-1 Starfighters, Vulture Droids, and AAT-1”s Players can also take part in huge dogfights above planets, dodging round asteroids and exploding allies.

Various classes allow players to take various roles within matches, such as the Officer adding willpower and strength to surrounding troopers. Troopers come in two forms, Heavy troopers, and assault troopers, with heavy troopers being more like tanks, and assault troopers being fast but weaker. There are also specialists that can deploy traps around the battlefield and are masters in sniping. Players can play as these classes within Naboo’s, Theed, Kamino, and Kashyyk. Heroes also make a return in the title, allowing players to take control of heroes such as Darth Maul, and the trailer shows that we can expect to see Kylo Ren, Yoda, and Rey too.

Multiplayer can also be locally played with split screen, but will be a feature for Xbox One, and PS4 users only. Players can upgrade their classes and rise up the ranks, attributing various abilities and weapons.

The single player story will see players playing as, Iden Versio, a commander of the Inferno Squad and they go through dramatic battles through worlds and space, coming face-to-face with some of the franchises biggest characters in a story centred around betrayal, revenge, and redemption.

The game is available to pre-order and comes with bonuses that will see the player gaining early access to the Multiplayer beta that will be arriving this Autumn, and they’ll also get The Last Jedi outfits for Kylo Ren, and Rey. Instant access to Yoda’s lightsaber mastery, and more.

  • Two epic ability modifiers for Rey, allowing players to control the minds of enemies during battle.
  • Two epic ability modifiers for Kylo Ren, allowing him to freeze enemies and pull them towards him with the Force.
  • One epic abilit modifier for a First Order hero ship.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be launching on PC, Xbox One, Xbox One X, PS4, and PS4 Pro, and will arrive on the 17th of November 2017.
