Our Picks from the Playism Publisher Sale 2026

Steam allows publishers to use sales as a way to get eyes onto their catalogue of games. From now through until the 24th of May, Playism is running their own publisher sale. There’s a bunch of games highlighted and others discounted. We’ve selected a few of our favourite games from the Playism Publisher Sale 2026 to share with you:

Rusted Moss

“When you’re not worried about swinging from a moss-covered wall to the next moss-covered surface, there are plenty of gorgeous pixels to gawk at. Rusted Moss does a great job of defining the foreground and background with equal detail, with each area a dimly-lit setpiece for Fern to swing about, perfectly imperfect with a minimalist design showcasing the strength of the art style. Pair that with a moody, foreboding soundtrack that taps into the Metroid feel quite heavily and you have a recipe for a game that does a great job selling the atmosphere it’s trying to create.”

SCHiM

“It all feels really calming and deliberate, and even when you miss a jump and pop out of existence, Schim has been designed well enough that you can tell that the fault was yours and a little bit more care in your timing can deliver you to where you need to be. Perhaps my only complaint was in how long it takes for each level to spell out your objective, each one begins with a slow pan across the path you’ll be taking — which is very useful to show you some of the choices you’ll need to make, but might be more valuable as a tool system rather than an introduction to each challenge. But, that’s a tiny niggle. Schim is captivating, the simple beats and splitting noise of the leaping frog are really charming, and that combined with the simple colours makes it instantly memorable.”

Bright Memory Infinite

“The combination of James Bond adjacent set pieces — you have a gunfight on the back of a mid-flight plane for heaven’s sake — and stunning visuals make for a tremendously fun time during those times when it works well. Even better, is if you already own Bright Memory on Steam, you get Bright Memory: Infinite for free. You’ll certainly want a pretty beefy rig to get the most out of the visuals, but if you have something powerful, you can expect a well running, gorgeous shooter that’s a lot of fun to play. Brief though it is, there’s a lot to love in this small package.”

The Good Life

The Good Life is a slice of life adventure game where you play as Naomi, a young photographer, looking to pay off her debt through finding out the secrets of the small town she is currently staying in. This game is full of side quests, and for me, the one where I got stuck, was the quest to take a single photo of ten sheep, given to you by your boss at the company that employs you.”

Mini Metro

“All-in-all though I can happily state that Mini Metro is an enjoyable casual strategy game that I am glad I got to play, and would happily recommend it to others. It’s worth noting that there are Android and iOS versions too, which might be a good alternative and a better fit with the casual-style of gameplay – but speaking for the PC game, it’s worth picking up.”

VA-11 HALL-A

“VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action is – you guessed it – a cyberpunk themed bar sim. Well, at its core at least, there is, in fact, way more to the game than that. This title is a visual novel with some bartender game-play in a retrofuturistic style, combining more vintage, pixel game visuals with futuristic subject matter and music.”
