Title: Antariksha Sanchar
Developer: Quicksand Games Lab
[Greenlight Page]
What type of game is it?
Adventure, Point & Click
What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
An adventure title set in 1920’s India, deeply invoking the culture of the time, following a dancer, and mathematician of the era.
What do we like most about it?
100% the setting. The Indian subcontinent’s history is completely alien to me, and I call myself a historian. It’s clear from the game’s developers (there’s a wonderful interview linked from the Steam page) that there’s been an absolutely massive amount of that culture – specificially Southern Indian – embedded deeply into the game. As if that’s not apparent enough, the art style and audio are perfect, and that’s just great.
Hopefully we’ll find out some more about the game in the next few months, however it should be noted that the game is regularly referred to as “Episode: 0” so there’s a high chance the price might be waived in order to generate interest for the first numbered episode. Just a hunch.
When’s it due?
It’s scheduled for launch in September of this year for PC & Mac.
