GODS Remastered Appears on Steam Greenlight
Back in 1991, I was born. It was also the year that GODS arrived on the Amiga console, and on the Atari ST. Now there’s a remastered version on the way, and the title has arrived on Steam Greenlight.
Originally developed by The Bitmap Brothers, GODS let players take control of Hercules as he seeked out to find immortality. Now, a game developer team, Robot Riot have been working with Mike Montgomery, one of the original founders of The Bitmap Brothers, to bring a remastered version to the modern world.
The remaster sees the levels looking as they did back in 1991, but updated with HD graphics, lighting effects, and a new soundtrack. The game has currently been developed for mobile devices, but Robot Riot wish to bring the enhanced edition to PC with controller support included.
There are three worlds, and four levels of classic GODS layouts, and the ability to switch between classic 16Bit graphics and the modern day remastered graphics is a wonderful touch for the nostalgia feel.
The trailer below shows off the mobile versions graphics and gameplay, the PC version will see even more enhanced graphics apparently.
