The Evil Within 2 got an announcement trailer at this years E3 2017 event while Bethesda were on stage, and the trailer is a cinematic look at the situation players will be finding themselves in this October.
Taking control fo Detective Sebastian Castellanos, you are granted a chance to save your daughter, but at a cost of entering a nightmarish world where you’ll learn the origins of a town, in turn, bringing your daughter back. Players can face the nightmarish creatures and events with weapons and traps, or they can take the stealthy approach and stick to the shadows.
The cinematic trailer that was shown, and can be found below, shows the story of how Sebastian witnesses his Daughter being burnt alive within their house, a quick transition sees Sebby inside the burnt down house, then being pulled into a gateway. We see various clips from what could be stylised in-game footage. Sebby is armed with a pistol and flashlight throughout the trailer. We see some creepy zombie type monsters, and it even looks like we see a rather large one that will pose a challenge within the game.
The game will be available on the 13th of October 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
