E3 2017 | Far Cry 5 Details Announced, New Gameplay Trailer
You all remember the excitement when Ubisoft started throwing Far Cry 5 teasers at us? And then they threw us the final trailer with a bunch of character introductions. Well, if you missed all that, you can read back on my last news post on the title by going here.
It’s now E3 2017 and Ubisoft have showcased Far Cry 5 at their press conference, and the first teaser was dramatic. Inviting us into a church, everyone raises up their han…guns. It’s clear that things are going to be heavily focused on religion.
You find yourself trying to fight back against an evil Joseph Seed, saving the scared innocents of Hope County. Your arrival sparks up the Cult to violently take control of the region, and so it’s down to you and your allies to form up and take it back.
We get a gameplay trailer that shows us the player starting near an enemy territory. Using binoculars players can as always scout out the location before infiltrating it. We see the player being aided by various characters, one is a dog, Boomer, another a sniper, Grace, the other Nick the pilot. The title features cooperative gameplay, and plenty of stealth or all out action.
Weapons and vehicles can be customised. As always, Far Cry shall be an open world title. You build your army, and you create your own path, allowing you to take on missions in any order you like, and each choice evolves to how you play. You also get various vehicles, such a muscle cars, big rigs, and ATV’s.
The game shall be arriving for Xbox One, Xbox One X, PS4, and PC and is set for a release on the 27th Feburary 2018.
