Codemasters have officially announced that DIRT 4 is coming.
It’s official, DIRT 4 is coming this year. In a blog post by Codemasters, they announced that the popular racing game is coming back for a forth run.
“DiRT 4 takes the passion and authenticity of off-road racing to the next level, whilst also re-introducing you all to white-knuckle truck and buggy racing in Landrush.”
With a goal to induce fear into players by bringing dramatic, and teeth grinding moments, DIRT 4 is sounding very adrenaline fuelled already. They want the players to feel inspired to be fearless.
The game will introduce a new system called, “Your Stage” in which players choose a location, fiddle with parameters, then the system does the rest of the work, creating a unique, procedurally generated rally stage to drive upon. Players will be able to share their tracks with friends, and compete for the best times. Experienced players will face longer, and more technical routes, while newcomers will get the gentle treatment with shorter, and less daunting routes.
“Featuring classic rally racing that continues to build on the foundations set by the Colin McRae Rally games, the brutal, fast-paced racing from the official FIA World Rallycross Championship, the crazy battles of racing trucks and buggies, and the outrageous fun of open events in Joyride, players will face challenges from locations that span three continents.”
This is certainly sounding to be a great addition to the series, and the trailer, which is below teases a dark, night time rally track being raced…after we’ve finished watching a bloke get into the car.
DIRT 4 will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in June 2017.
