Hell Let Loose: Vietnam confirms release date – June 18th
The Sequel to Hell Let Loose, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam has a release date: June 18th. It’ll be releasing on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. There is a further release date for physical editions on August 4th, with pre-orders open now for both versions.
We previously reviewed Hell Let Loose twice actually:
“These quibbles aside, you’d be hard pressed to find another current game in a WWII setting with more tactical depth and dramatic spectacle. Hell Let Loose is a unique first-person shooter that prioritizes teamwork and communication to such an extent that you begin to feel like a small soldier on a real-time strategy battlefield. If that sounds appealing, and you don’t mind communicating with strangers on the Internet to capture digital fortifications and objections, all while humming George M. Cohan’s 1917 wartime classic “Over There” under your breath, then I can only recommend it.”
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam features jungle warfare set during one of history’s fiercest battlegrounds in real-world locations, recreated with tons of authenticity. At launch, the game will have 6 distinct, large-scale maps with dramatic terrain and weather variants to make things interesting. Strategic battles will face off, 50 vs 50, where cooperation and teamwork take precedence over individual heroics. The weapons, vehicles and tactical options are historically accurate, with new US aerial units and resourceful NVA forces. Both sides of the battle will hunt enemies through Vietnam’s complex river network with heavily armed patrol boats.
It’s an interesting offer, with a lot of promises to be very realistic and intense, for those who like these types of strategy games. If you want to get on the action sooner, there is going to be a free-to-play Open Beta weekend for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam on May 29th to June 1st.
Pre-orders are open now, on the developer’s website, if you’re interested in purchasing ahead of the launch.
