Crusader Kings II Treasury Addition Sounds Rich
David “Darkrenown” Ballantyne took the helm of the latest Crusader Kings II dev diary. The diary focused on a new change coming to the core game with the upcoming 2.7 update, which will launch alongside Monks and Mystics.
The new addition is an area/UI dedicated solely to artefacts, relics and certain items; this area, your treasury, will contain several of the existing game items (which normally serve as a small icon and a stat modifier) in a much more visual style. The patch will also bring some new items to the game, however many of these will be tied to events and sequences which take place in the expansion which will launch alongside the update.
In addition to adding a more visual experience, these items can also be stolen or raided away by other characters, although Darkrenown stresses that certain items of religious importance will only have effect on those who subscribe to the relevant ways.
There’s going to be a few new events added with the DLC; commissioning swords from smiths, buying crown jewels, and heading off on a hunt for relics; in addition certain characters might well start the game with religious artefacts too.
There’s currently no estimated date for the patch, or for the expansion which will launch at the same time. However, it is pretty safe to say that we will be looking at a 2017 release.
