Ready Set Metro Makes Planning The Trip Fun
Have you ever been the person that needs to plan every step of a trip before you go on it? Where are you going? What’s the most efficient way to get there? How can you do it while spending the least money? If this person is you then Ready Set Metro will let you live out that pre-planning fantasy.
Ready Set Metro was recently showcased at Brilliant Indie Treasures in London so I was basically playing this game just to make sure that I got along to see it!

Here you’ll take on the role of someone who organises a number of different people’s travel plans across the city of London; what trains to take, what to visit, how to stick to a budget. All of the choices are open for you to consider when it comes to making it as efficient as possible, all while tailoring the journey to the individual’s needs.
Ready Set Metro combines a cartoony art style with real world locations and travel plans, navigating actual tube lines throughout London while getting brief snippets of history and information about the areas you’re guiding your people towards.
Speaking of the people, that’s exactly what each level revolves around: Helping a person. This could range from anyone from frail old ladies to spoiled children that just want to buy everything they can.

Personally, I am not a fan of breaking down the nitty gritty of every situation and making it hyper-efficient, but I know there are definitely audiences out there that do really love exactly that, I’m looking at you Hearts of Iron IV players, and this game is certainly on the same level of interaction albeit in a less serious package.
Ready Set Metro is an enjoyable and even relaxing experience where you can hash out perfect travel plans and learn a bit about the locations that the characters you’ll be helping will be visiting along the way. Dare I say it, but maybe educational games are on the return?
Ready Set Metro is currently in development for PC, you can find out more information on its Steam page.
