Warhammer 40’000: Mechanicus II to launch alongside Warhammer Skulls 2026

If you’ve been patiently waiting for news of the Warhammer 40’000: Mechanicus II release date then wait no longer, publisher Kasedo Games and developer Bulwark Studios have announced that it’ll be launching next week on the 21st of May, during this year’s Warhammer Skulls event.

The Warhammer Skulls event is expected to showcase over a dozen games that use the Warhammer IP, with everything ranging from new trailers and features to details on major upcoming updates. We’re expecting to learn more information about Dawn of War IV, Darktide, Warhammer Total War III and much, much more.

Mechanicus II‘s launch date was revealed as part of a series of videos that have been highlighting and detailing the leaders in the new game, specifically the second one, which focused on (an Adeptus Mechanicus leader) Lector-Dogmatis Scaevola and (a Necron leader) Lord Obasis. You can find that trailer below:

Warhammer 40’000: Mechanicus II follows a planetary conflict between the two factions, taking you from the maze-like Necon tombs through to the cities of the titular industrial, techno-religious Mechanicus faction. The deploying of leaders is a new feature to the series alongside a cover system (and cover destruction systems) and the ability to play as the Necrons. It will also mark the video game debut of the Leagues of Votann.

We reviewed the first Mechanicus when it was ported to mobile, while we didn’t find the port to be particularly stable, the game itself was lauded.

“But where Mechanicus shines is in customisation. I’ve said multiple times how much I love good customisation, and Mechanicus has some of the best customisation I’ve seen in a turn-based strategy. With Tech-Priests’ love of technology, it’s only natural that it plays a part in gameplay.”

Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus (Mobile) – Great game, but a not so great port

Warhammer 40’000: Mechanicus II will launch for PC, as well as Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
