E3 2017 | Spider-Man Gameplay Trailer Announced, PS4 Exclusive
Spider-Man has always been a fun, sarcastic superhero, and we’ve all loved playing the video games from the past, but it’s coming back on PS4. We already saw the teaser, now we get to see a brand new gameplay trailer.
Spider-Man will see players taking control of Peter Parker as they swing through the streets of New York City as Spider-Man in this huge open world title. The trailer sees a mixture of cinematic and gameplay, mainly gameplay where we see Spider-Man performing a load of fancy web play against the enemies in a rather cool, and well executed stealth system.
We’ll see takedown cams as well it seems when you’ve taken down the last enemy from a pack, and some dramatic cutscenes for starting a fight. The combat uses Spidey Sense to dodge incoming attacks, really, it looks like it has taken inspiration from Batman Arkham Knight and Arkham Asylum, but really it’s a system I remember seeing in The Amazing Spider-Man game.
Precise web targeting is done with a recitile, and the environment can be used to your advantage. The trailer seems to show us that we can expect a lot of jumping in and out of gameplay between cutscenes First person web shooting, and there are even a fair amount of interactive cutscenes in which players will need to press buttons in sequence. Spider-Man can run along walls, and there looks to be a huge range of aerobatic moves to perform, making the title look incredibly dramatic.
The game will be arriving in 2018 for PS4 and PS4 Pro.
