Square Enix pushed a new trailer today showing the weapons available that have been crossed over from other games.
We ran coverage the other day where Platinum Games were doing a live stream session about NieR: Automata, and they mentioned about there being crossovers. Weapons from other games would feature in NieR, and the armour and certain weapons from NieR would feature in others. For all the details you can read the post here.
Today the “Iconic” trailer dropped, and shows the weapons that have crossed over into the world of NieR in action.
The first weapon we’re introduced to is the iconic, Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV, showing sparks, quick movements, and a pretty blade. There has been a story quest tied to this weapon confirmed. The Cypress Stick from Dragon Quest also makes an appearance, showing some incredible damage sending the enemy shooting upwards.
Phantasy Star Online 2 and Monster Hunter Frontier Z are getting certain equipment, armour, and weapons from NieR as part of more collaborations.
The trailer ends with the European date for release, the 10th March, and then a clip of an incredibly huge titan of a mechanical life form raising its weapon then attacking. The demo for NieR: Automata is available to download on the PlayStation store.
