King Under The Mountain Kickstarter Cancelled, Re-Launching Soon
King Under The Mountain, a Kickstarter project that brings a simulation-based settlement management game to the hands of players has been cancelled, but it will be returning to Kickstarter soon.
The Kickstarter was originally looking for £45,000 and achieved £16,023 when it was cancelled. There were 466 backers behind the project, and now they’ll be waiting for the re-release. The reason behind the cancellation was due to the target being to high it appears, with Rocket Jump Technology saying that the high target figure was putting people off from backing. Another reason was down to the pledge rewards and pricing being too far apart.
The re-launch date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it will relaunch with a lower target, and new pledge reward prices. The base pledge will also be £10 rather than the previous £17 and this will allow players access to the early releases, and then a free upgrade to the Steam key when the title launches.
