What type of game is it?

Strategy

What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?

A fast paced variation of Risk with an adept multiplayer AI and a mass of map variations.

What do we like most about it?

As I said in the [Slay Greenlight Highlight] earlier in the year*, Sean O’Connor’s games are surely an institution when it comes to gaming on the Windows platform; so long have his games been established.

Conquest is a quick and easy to pick up Risk alternative that’s now got 15 years under it’s belt. The AI is robust enough to hold it’s own and ensure that there’s no one winning technique; this means that each of the multitude of maps in the game feel vastly different and so -like with Slay before it- it’s easy to lose a lot of time to it.

While the game is visually aged -to be fair, they all (bar Firefight) looked dated when they launched, and that’s fine- in my many years of loving-forgetting-rediscovering I’ve never had any faults, nor any loses that I couldn’t learn from and chalk up to experience.

When’s it due?

Conquest is ready for release on Windows PC, as such it will launch shortly after it passes through Greenlight.
