What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
Frantically, fast-paced platforming as you fight your way through hordes of peculiar enemies in order to cure the giant beasties you are trapped within.
What do we like most about it?
The game is truly a complete package, from upgrading and maintaining your spaceship and crew, down to the fast-paced 2D shooting sections and their sprinkling of exploration.
Citing Mega Man, Super Metroid & Metal Slug as inspirations, the fast, dodging-combat reliant on perfect range and timing looks absolutely sublime, that and the fact that the animations are fast and crisp, and fit perfectly in with the highly detailed backgrounds… it looks like it could really be an instant classic.
I’m always a little bit against games going on Greenlight & Kickstarter at the same time; one is an application to go onto a storefront, and the other is an advertisement and appeal for funding. Blubber Busters however already looks well along the development route, and has a team made up of industry veterans, who are slightly more experienced at keeping on-track with developments than the average bear.

Blubber Busters is currently Kickstarter’ing towards an October 2018 release date for Windows PC.
