Fable Fortune is arriving for Steam Early Access and on Xbox Game Preview in Q2 of this year. It’ll be in closed beta starting from next week.
Lionhead veterans at Flaming Fowl Studios are working with Mediatonic and together they have announced in a press release that their title, Fable Fortune is going to be arriving on Steam Early Access and on Xbox Game Preview sometime in the second quarter of this year. It will be available as part of a “Founders Pack” which will gain players that purchase the title not only full access to the game, but also a hefty supply of card packs and a trophy card.
Flaming Fowl Studios had previously been seeking £250,000 on Kickstarter to get their project underway, but they ran an update on Kickstarter stating that they had found external funding but didn’t give details. The funding on Kickstarter was cancelled with 1,536 backers who helped raise £58,852.
Fable Fortune is a collectable card game set in the theme of the Fable universe. It’ll bring forth the world of Albion along with brand new heroes who all fall to the Iconic Alignment mechanic that determines their decisions as good or evil, bringing different types of powers to the playing field. It will feature a classic PvP mode and a unique co-op mode. Quests are unique also and tied to each location, which will allow players to source new decks and strategies. Players can also expect to see a whole host of characters that span across Fable’s history.
Players can apply to join the closed beta that will be taking place on Steam next week, with Xbox One and Windows 10 Store users getting closed beta access shortly afterwards.
