E3 2017 | Call of Duty: WWII Reveal Trailer, Gameplay teased

Call of Duty: WWII gained a reveal trailer during Sony’s press conference at E3 2017, and it shows off the multiplayer exclusively.

Call of Duty: WWII has stepped away from its futuristic warfare and followed suit in the footsteps of Battlefield 1, and they’ve gone back to the Second World War where the game will go back to their roots, which some players may remember Call of Duty: Finest Hour, Call of Duty: Roads to Victory and more from the PS2 and Xbox Classic era.

Call of Duty WWII, developed by Sledgehammer Games will see the game heading back to historic locations, such as Normandy’s D-Day, Ardennes Forest, and more. It’ll also introduce a single player campaign, but the multiplayer is what people are talking about. Makes sense really as Call of Duty always has been a fairly fun Online experience, but WWII will see three game modes arriving.

  • Divisions is one of those game modes, and it’s basically an updated, “Create-a-class” system, allowing players to choose from five WWII divisions. Each one has their own unique skills and helps develop their multiplayer career. Players will fight for control for various objectives.
  • Headquarters is a new experience that will allow players to earn rewards and show off their accomplishments, connecting with other players and even fans. A hub area if you will.
  • War mode will see team focused gameplay against the enemy, a narrative driven story for a multiplayer experience on the battleground.
The gameplay trailer shows off a lot of devastating weapons, and there’s a flamethrower! You can actually venture further behind the gameplay trailer with the gameplay Interview that was held at E3 2017. Worth a watch as you get to witness players being able to fly planes, and perform incredibly bloody melee attacks. It certainly looks like it could be the most explosive and bloody addition to the CoD series yet.
The game will launch on the 3rd of November 2017 for Xbox One, PC, and PS4, but, if pre-ordered, will launch into a private beta on PS4 in August on the 25th 2017.
There will also be a “Divisions Pack” which will include five exclusive gear sets that are inspired by the five different divisions within the game. Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Mountain, and Armoured.
