Dead Effect 2 VR Now Available on Steam Early Access
BadFly Interactive have announced that Dead Effect 2 VR is now available on Steam Early Access.
Dead Effect 2 VR is a standalone VR title that takes after the FPS title, it’s now available on Steam Early Access and will run for the HTC Vive, and the Oculus Rift. The title has been totally remade to help optimise the controls for VR, with weapon dual-wielding, improved weapon models, and an even more immersive horror experience.
Dead Effect 2 takes place on a colony spaceship, things have gone wrong and the player awakes from cryostasis to learn that a virus has spread throughout the ship. Crewmates are now hungry for flesh, an no longer a human, now a creature that are constantly on the hunt. Players will gain control back from the creatures, find out what the virus is, and do so while spilling an incredible amount of blood!
There are three characters to choose from before the game fully starts, each one have their own unique set of skills and weapons, and then later throughout the game players can add various armour parts and implants from sets and passive skills.Weapons are also upgradable, and with a wide range of weapons, such as flamethrowers, shotguns, swords, mines, and more, the Early Access version is sure to impress with its arsenal, but there’s more to come in future updates.
Dead Effect 2 VR will be launched fully with a ten hour single-player campaign, and four other game modes, Biohazard, Survival, Lone Wolf, and Infestation. Updates in the future plan to add ten hours to the campaign mode, more weapons, and cooperative play or online battles for up to eight players in a PvP game. Matches will be team based or free-for-all Deathmatch.
