De Blob 2 Guerilla Released Today with 25% Discount and Quality of Life Upgrades

In an unexpected twist, and without warning,De Blob 2 has launched on PC, six years after its original DS, Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 launch in 2011.

THQ Nordic have released the new title, following development efforts by Blitworks, onto Steam with a 25% discount, and a couple of new features.

The improved version of the 2011 release now includes FXAA Anti-Aliasing, resolution and gravity tweaks, UI adaption for gamepad/controls/KB&M inputs, as well as upscaled videos. It also, for some reason, includes ‘Unofficial Wiimote support‘. Champion.

For those unfamiliar with the series, the game see the titular hero heading out to repaint the world after a villain has snatched it from the world.

The first game was released on PC earlier this year after a whopping 9-year absence from the platform. As I’ve said before, THQ Nordic’s dedication to getting ‘everything on everything’ is admirable.

You can find De Blob on both Steam, and GOG at the moment. If you choose Steam then tread carefully, there’s a whopper of a sale on over there at the moment.
