Dead Rising 4 Brings Timed Demo, New Difficulties, and Customisation
Xbox have announced that they are pushing Dead Rising 4 as a timed one hour demo to attract new players.
Dead Rising 4 released on the 6th December and has since apparently had over seven billion zombies slaughtered by players, and apparently over three million selfies…you selfie addicts!
In a bid to attract more players, they are pushing out a timed demo that will allow the new player to try the game out for an hour. This demo will allow players to earn achievements and carry over any saved progress into the fully purchased game. The demo allows both singleplayer and multiplayer modes, although I think putting a cap of one hour on is a bit of a close call. I’m sure if a player tries multiplayer out, they’ll be wasting a fair amount of time matchmaking, then connecting, then waiting for players to ready up.
The timed demo will launch on the 31st January 2017.
The full version of the game will receive an update which fixes up some bugs that they have been tracking since the release of the game, but will also bring some free features to the game.
Two New Difficulty Levels have been introduced, making Dead Rising 4 that little bit harder. While the name of these difficulties haven’t been specified, I’d imagine they’re something like, “Hardcore” and “Insane!” or something of the sort. These new difficulty levels will bring stronger zombies, weaker weapons, and less health from rations. These modes will be available from the 30th January.
The Street Fighter Costume Pack is another free addition to the game, finding the new costumes tucked away inside your wardrobe, you will be able to dress Frank up in five Street Fighter costumes. The only costumes I know off are Guile, M. Bison, and Zangief. These costumes will also be arriving on the 30th January.
