It Looks like Tequila Works’ Rime is Going Multiplatform

Adventure platformer originally announced as Sony exclusive looks to be making its way to a variety of consoles.

Gematsu are reporting that Rime, from developer Tequila Works (Deadlight), has been rated for multiple formats over on the Brazil Advisory Rating Board.

The rating listed the upcoming 3D Platformer for launch onto PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC – a stark change from the list of platforms the title was set to launch on at the start of this year, when it was exclusive to PS4 and published by Sony.

Following a separation from Sony, Tequila works partnered up with Grey Box and Six Foot for publishing, and issued a tentative 2017 release window.

Rime, for those unaware, is a cell-shaded platforming title that sees players exploring the ruins of a civilisation in order to climb atop the tallest tower in the land, and learn it’s mysteries; while the game has drawn some comparison to a cell-shaded Journey, the world of Rime is one vastly more alive, with animals and creatures littering the lands you travel through.

The last trailer for the title was it’s announce trailer from back in August 2014, when it was first shown at Gamescom. You can find it below.

Kudos, Gematsu.
