Dreamlords Digital have announced that they are preparing for Early Access release with their title, Graywalkers: Purgatory.
Graywalkers: Purgatory is currently in development as a turn based RTS, set within a post-apocalyptic world with a supernatural aura about it, players will face both Heaven and Hell as they wander the aftermath of The Rapture. Players will play as the leader of the Graywalkers, thirty-six individuals who have been protecting mankind through history. The goal is to gather an army by merging factions to take back the planet and restore it for mankind.
Inspired by games such as XCOM,Wastelands, and Fallout, Graywalkers: Purgatory ended up being fully funded on Kickstarter, and has now hit the Alpha stage. Graywalkers: Purgatory is the first in a series planned by Dreamlords Digital. It will have three game modes, Campaign, Skirmish, and multiplayer (This shall be added in a free update, whereas Skirmish will be available first with the Early Access). Players will be able to strategically manage their characters, managing resources, influences, technology, magic, personnel, and equipment.
There will be six races to play as with ten paths for them to follow as well as choosing what factions you wish to join, with each faction hosting their own agendas. More races being included through DLC’s. The races currently are,
- Human
- dhampir
- Nephilim
- Cambion
- Wolfkin
- Hunterborne
Players can recruit over forty playable NPC’s that they will be able to also level up and customise as they see fit so that they are ready to battle against the supernatural enemies, such as witches, werewolves, demons, angels, and various other supernatural beings. They’ll be able to scavenge, rebuild, create new technologies, find ancient relics, and while not much has been mentioned about this aspect, players will be introduced to a new table-top RPG system.

” The underlying system that the videogame actually runs on is a new tabletop RPG system we developed. We will also release this as an actual separate tabletop RPG product”
Graywalkers was successfully funded on Kickstarter, and while that may be all done and dusted, players can pledge to help progress the development of the game. It will launch on PC, Mac and Linux first, and has plans to later be ported to PS4 and Xbox One. There is no confirmation on when the game is releasing but we do know it’s coming in the first quarter of 2017.
