Telltale Games have released their launch trailer for the upcoming, third, series of The Walking Dead game, and it gives us a few more details on what’s to be expected over it’s five episode sprint.
The new series follows Javier Garcia -who we’ve been introduced to previously- as he attempts to protect what remains of his family years after the initial outbreak. He’s joined by lone wanderer Clementine, who many of us will remember as the main character of the previous series.
We also get a glimpse at a baby AJ, the child of Alvin and Rebecca from the second season who was left in Clementine’s care following the collapse of her survivor group in the final episodes of the last outing.
The season appears to walk close to the territory of the current season of the TV show, with ‘Jesus’ dropping his name in the trailer, as well as a shift in opponents from lone rangers to more organised and settled, armed groups.
Personally I’m hoping we meet up with Mike & Arvo (and, I suppose Bonnie, or whatever) from the last season as well; Mike was a great character who I believe still has a lot of history to share.
The Walking Dead (Season three): A New Frontier launches simultaneously for Windows PC, Xbox One & PS4 on the 20th of December, when it’s first two episodes launch.
