Escape From Playtime, created by the developers behind Poppy Playtime, has you playing alongside up to three of your friends, exploring an abandoned factory and trying to survive. It takes place in the same universe as Poppy Playtime, giving you a chance to explore more of the same scary setting.
Although you can play through a single player mode in Escape from Playtime, it aims to be more of a co-op survival horror experience, where players are put into an abandoned toy factory, trying to stay alive despite all of the monsters living in the shadows. There are different areas within the facility; some of which look like classrooms, testing labs or even warehouses. These are all connected with long, dark, twisting hallways.
There are also tons of different rejected Playtime Co. creations hunting around for new prey. You and your friends need to work together, being aware of your surroundings and using them to your advantage if you want to make it out alive. You will need to use proximity voice chat to make sure that you are looking out for each other, while also listening to the mysterious voice that has sent you on your mission. There are lots of different tools, clues, hiding spots, and ways to protect each other in this game.
The aim is to take what is already well established with the previous entries in the series and add a bit of a twist with it, through procedurally generated environments and the use of your friends, who all need to work with you and not let the horror of the game get to them.
