Mr. Records is coming to Nintendo Switch 2
When it comes to whacky rhythm-based games, I really feel like there isn’t enough! Mr. Records is one of the newer ones, where you play as a retired old man who lives above a record shop he has just opened. In the evenings, he purchased new records and plays them, bringing himself into a world of the music.
And that music, predictably maybe, is a bunch of rhythm puzzles that just feel like they jell together. It’s a cool experience, with different vibes on each track. Once a new record is added to your collection after you’ve successfully played it, you can then sell it during the daytime in your shop.
This is done through recommending the record that someone wants to them. The more records you have, the more challenging it is to make sure that each individual gets exactly the record that they are looking for.
Though Mr. Records isn’t out yet on PC, it was revealed at Gamescom that Mr Records is coming to Nintendo Switch 2! This announcement came with a new trailer where you can get to know Mr. Records himself and see the key gameplay loop within the game.
While at Gamescom, I got to try out Mr. Records for myself and really felt that the game was polished and smooth. I like the break between rhythm and shop keeping and feel that Nintendo Switch 2 is a great choice for this type of game.
