Lock’s Quest Remaster Release Date Moved Back to End of May

THQ Nordic have announced a slight delay on the upcoming PC, Xbox One & PS4 remaster, and relaunch, of DS tower-defence classic Lock’s Quest. The title will now launch on the 30th of May.

Lock’s Quest, for those not aware, was a 2008 DS title published by THQ. It followed the story of a young boy uncovering the story behind the sudden reappearance and attack of a clockwork army. What was most interesting wasn’t the fact that the game had a great soundtrack and story, but that it was one of the first titles that had you -as a hero character- fighting alongside the turrets, helpers and traps you were assembling for the wave defence battles.

Here’s the remaster feature’s list from a recent press release:

  • New progression system automatically unlocks new turrets at specific story plot points

  • Brand new Antonia Defence Battles featuring a new map

  • All music remastered in high definition, with orchestrated introduction and ending

  • Player controls remapped for keyboard/mouse and gamepad input

  • Revamped User Interface, customized for HD resolution, including all new GUI Art

  • Character portraits refactored in High Resolution

Following the delay, Lock’s Quest is now set to release on May 30th, for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
