Level Editor Comes to Turok
Turok, the 2015 remastered edition of the popular 1997 classic has just been updated, and it now comes with a level editor.
Developer, Nightdive Studios have pushed a new update for their 2015 remaster of the game, Turok.
The update came free for users on the 22nd December, giving them the power to modify existing maps, or creating new maps entirely. Maps can be saved and uploaded to the Steam Workshop allowing players to share their creations amongst other players.
The new Turok EX Engine can be seen in action in the video below, showing a 3D modelling workspace in action, and showcasing how simple the editor seems to look with game assets being easily accessible through a menu. In fact, a lot of options you’d expect to see in a modelling program are prominent, such as wireframe views, overhead views, and model snapping. There are elements such as fog and lighting effects that can be easily added too.
Your maps can be tested at the click of a button, and I for one am quite looking forward to seeing the communities creations. There’s always some interesting minds out there.
You can view the video below, and the update is available now.
