Developer: Sludj Games
[Greenlight Page]
What type of game is it?
Sandbox Adventure
What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
Explore a surreal world while trying to survive the strange creatures, and rebuild your spaceship as to escape.
What do we like most about it?
The game world doesn’t look like a sandbox craft-em-up, and the creatures look like enemies in a 3D platformer rather than what we traditionally see in games of this ilk. There’s a lot of choices that have been made here that indicate a lot of planning and care has gone into the game – even if the trailer’s framerate is choppy as hell.
If I had to pick a favourite thing though, it’s how night dawns by it just dropping into place all of a sudden. As a matter of fact, any of the shots of the sky are really interesting, from the blurred, abstract night to the strange sponge-stamped clouds.
Technology in the game is also interesting, we see a character wielding a pudao standing next to a campfire, but then also see them building microchips next to greenhouses. Cool.
When’s it due?
Wrongworld is currently listed for release on Windows, Mac & Linux in early 2017
