What do we like most about it?
This, to clarify, is one of the most amazingly in-depth ‘life/simulator’ games that I think I’ve ever seen. It is completely rife with minigames, extra tasks and challenges, and items to find, and all of that takes place in a game that -like Animal Crossing- matches the computer’s time, and takes place in a town where everyone has places to be and things to do. While the game lacks the routine of games like Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing, it certainly seems to have a lot more narrative and a lot more to do.
When I say ‘a lot more to do’ I’m not just talking about the surfing competition indicated by the title, there’s sliding puzzles, a card-collecting minigames, jobs to do around the town, quiz nights… and a whole lot more.
Needless to say, as a fan of the simulation genre, I’m really looking forward to this.
When’s it due?
Surfasaurus is a completed project being brought to Steam, as such it is expected to release shortly after Greenlight. When it does launch it will do so for Windows PC.
