What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
As a Spanish conquistador fight your way across the New World against the deadly hordes of Lovecraftian beasts that have corrupted the lands.
What do we like most about it?
The screen resolution and foreground details betray a heavy 8/16 bit resolution, while the super detailed background and framerate smooth out elements of the game that would have suffered with the older technology.
There’s a lot of similarities to the mechanics of both Mario and Castlevania combined to make this extremely tight looking platformer, and I’ve got to say that I’m really impressed with what’s on show in the trailer. I’m also especially interested in the boss fights that get teased within too.
When’s it due?
Super Conquerors is set to release next year for Windows PC & Linux.
