Greenlight Highlight | Some We Missed; Twist of Destiny; Cluckles’ Adventure; Dark Devotion & Night Lights
We here at Bigbossbattle have been slacking on the Greenlight Highlight front so far this year due to the imminent hosting switch, as well as the fact we’ve picked up on news. While this brief stumble will be ending soon, we’re racked with guilt at missing featuring a few of the titles we really wanted to talk about before they passed Greenlight.
So, here they are in brief below.
Twist of Destiny,
Oneshark
[Greenlight Page]
A strange RPG with odd ragdoll like NPCs, a really interesting art style, and a turn based combat system bolstered by a mass of NPCs
The game is expected to launch into Steam Early access in at some point this year.
Cluckles’ Adventure.
Lukasinspace
[Greenlight Page]
A classic platformer with a chicken as a hero. The game wouldn’t have looked out of place on GBA or NES, and seems to have everything perfectly in place; from visuals to audio.
Cluckles’ Adventure is already available on mobile devices. There’s no word on when it’ll be making its way over onto PCs, but when it does it will do so for Windows, Mac & Linux.
Dark Devotion
Hibernian Workshop
[Greenlight Page]
A dark and unforgiving 2D adventure title with unforgiving bosses and perfect timing required to best even the most regular of foes.
I’m not normally one for games that have little fear of gore, or take place in grim, hopeless settings, but the game has an amazing UI, smooth animations, and is overwhelmingly well detailed.
The game’s listed for an early 2018 release date for Windows PC, it’s definitely one to keep an eye on.
Night Lights
BMBCRCKR
[Greenlight Page]
Things are different at night says the first line of the Night Lights trailer. The game’s entire puzzle angle revolves around light, with the orange beams -seen right- altering certain objects to allow you to solve block and timing based puzzles. Later in the game the protagonist gains the ability to emit light themselves as well, leading to a further layer of puzzle.
The game is only early in development at the minute, with a planned release date of Q4 2018. When it launches it will do so for Windows, Mac & Linux.
Lost Connection
Yarmin Gamestudio
[Greenlight Page]
A hot neon platformer where you control a small bit in a machine, trying to hack your way through a death-trap of a machine; it all plays out as a timing based puzzler, with you making your way through narrow tunnels and trap-rooms.
Most interesting is the fact that there’s a storyline throughout the game, told out in comic strip moments.
The game is set to launch in Q1 of this year, and will launch for Windows PCs.
That’s just five of the games that we missed from the hundreds greenlit, keep your eyes on the site for updates on them in future, and for more from Valve’s Steam Greenlight platform.
