What type of game is it?

Dungeon Crawler, Adventure.

What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?

It’s a tough, room-based dungeon crawler dressed up as an adventure game with magic, weapons, and items that give abilities. It’s got an amazing art and animation style to it.

What do we like most about it?

Definitely the art style, I’ve not grown bored of the simple low-detail fill, high detail edge and object style that this game uses… I should probably learn the name of that. It’s not just the terrain, objects and characters that look wonderful though, the game’s tile-based ability system seen in the trailer and the effect/spell/attack animations are all great looking. Although, that said, I never saw the character USE a sword in the trailer.

Anything else worth shouting about?

The game embodies everything about the classic adventure games of the 16bit consoles excepting the actual free-form exploration, and that’s pretty damn admirable.

When’s it due?

The developers are currently aiming at a Q1 2017 launch for PC. There’s no word of other platforms just yet.
