What type of game is it?

What do we like most about it?
No beating around the bush, this delivers entirely on the simple principle that it is VR Samba, and that is amazing. As a matter of fact, even better it has the bright, colourful, cartoon-like appeal of more classic music/rhythm games like Parappa The Rapper, Gitaroo Man & (importantly) Samba De Amigo.
I’m not entirely sold on VR, in these early, formative stages it is being treated as a graphic revolution rather than a controls and interaction one; most of the games I am seeing for it are duck shoots or exploration games. While those two genres are excellent uses for the technology, what we really need is more FUN games to be the ones making headlines, be that silly stacking games, or overactive rhythm game like this – think of what the Wii did for motion controls… without that we probably wouldn’t have VR in the capacity we do now, we’d be stuck watching it die and return on the next cycle. With that practical knowledge of the technology out there now though, VR may well finally be pushed through into the mainstream, but, a diverse mix of games must be present for that to happen. I hope Cuconaca, laden heavy with extra songs and locales, becomes a part of that.

Cuconaca doesn’t currently have a release date listed for it. It is listed as launching for PC, with no specifications on which VR devices.
