What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?

Somewhere between Flappy Bird and Choplifter you’ll find Choppa, a game which sees you piloting a rescue helicopter through obstacle courses to pick up survivors.

What do we like most about it?

I actually had a quick go on the mobile version of this earlier on in the year and really enjoyed the variety of obstacles and the ragdoll rescue ladder. Sure, it’s not a complicated game, but it can be challenging at times, and in that way it definitely delivers in the arcade genre that it is pitched.

Secretly I hope the devs will go on to make a full Choplifter-style game, guns and cannons and all, but, until then this wonderful, brightly-coloured, weaponless game where you pilot a rescue ‘copter to save helpless, stranded survivors will do the job.

Ultimately, price will be the major defining factor in the fate of Choppa on the Steam store, and a pricing sweet spot is getting increasingly hard to find.

When’s it due?

Choppa on PC & Mac will be a repackaged version of the existing mobile version as soon as alterations to make the UI Mouse & Keyboard friendly have been completed.
