What type of game is it?

First-Person Space Dog Fighter.

What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?

You are a member of the Colonial Defence Force, head out in one of ix different role-specific ships and defend humanity to the last breath.

What do we like most about it?

This is actually a non-VR version of [this] fantastic look shooter. As this version is not VR enabled (although I’m not sure why they couldn’t have upgraded the existing project to be dual boot) it will likely benefit from better rendering and framerate; however, I would state that the VR version looks smooth as butter, so I’ll be looking forward to seeing how this version performs.

There’s not enough space combat games out there on the market yet for it to be over-saturated, and some of the design choices in this game really make it stand out from the competition; the way the hud displays mission updates, and the  front of one of the ships serving as a scope for the weapon are just two examples of how the game innovates, and deserves your attention.

When’s it due?

CDF Starfighter is currently listed for release on Windows PC, Mac & Linux in Fall of this year.
