EE Game of the Year Awards Voting is Open!
Award season is in full swing, and there are so many different awards, categories and events going on right now! BAFTA is one of the most prestigious awards in both film and gaming — though most of the categories are done by a jury of experts who get all the power on deciding what game is the best of the best. Unlike those other categories, the EE Game of the Year Awards is the only BAFTA award voted on by the public — and you’ve likely heard of all six games currently in the category.
These games were selected by a jury from a vast list of nominations, and have been reduced down to just six: Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Immortality, Stray, and Marvel Snap.
These six are so different from each other — from an expansive RPG to an adventure game where you can play a cat through to a mobile card game that’s got quick rounds! This variety does provide for a bunch of different stories, genres and concepts to be covered. It’s a solid representation of the games that have dominated mainstream conversation (and, no doubt, playtime) over the last year; blockbusters rather than genre-breakers or niche novelties.
If you recognised your favourite there then, good news, it’s incredibly easy to vote for them and show your support to your favourite.
All you need to do is fill out a simple form on EE’s website, select the game that you think should win EE Game of the Year, and submit it!
Voting is limited to British citizens (you need a UK phone number) that are 18 years old or above, and ends on the 26th of March, so go and vote for your favourite now!
