E3 2017 Goes Public for the First Time
There are still some months left for E3 2017 to come and bless us all with gaming greatness, but this year, some gamers will be able to experience it closer than ever before.
E3 2017 will be the first iteration of the 22-year-old event that opens up to the public. On a general basis, E3 was an event limited to press members, who attend each and every year to report on gaming’s latest and upcoming titles. This year, tickets will go on sale for everyone to get and enjoy all of E3.
The amount is quite ambitious even, as 15.000 tickets will be available for people to buy starting next Monday. There will be two variations pricing-wise: early tickets (bought on the first day they go on sale, priced at $150) and regular tickets (for those who buy it later, priced at $250).
While this is exciting news for gamers, attendees – from both press and otherwise – should brace themselves for longer queues and a more packed house than ever, as the LA Convention Center will be filled to the brim with excited fans and journalists. To our peers attending, we send lots of endurance.
However, the show will likely see good results from this move, and maybe it’ll become a staple in the long-running expo. You can see the announcement made by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) below.
