Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Headed to PS4 Early Next Year
The clash between light and darkness makes its way to PlayStation 4 at some point during the beginning of 2018. The game has been out in arcades for a year and a half.
Pre-E3 2017 news are starting to roll out and coming up front we have Square-Enix presenting Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, the PlayStation 4 version of the arcade game, due out Early 2018 as they announced today on a live stream.
The reveal (including the game’s trailer and various features) has been leaked by Amazon just hours before the stream started, but official word has come from them still. On top of the reveal of the game, a brand new FFIII-based stage is coming to the arcade version, together with FFV’s villain Exdeath as a playable character.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will feature the classic 3v3 fighting style of the arcade mode with the addition of other, unspecified fighting systems. The game will abandon its predecessors’ RPG elements but will still include a story mode with cutscenes telling a story.
The arcade version will receive one character per month from this point on and it’s safe to assume those will be present in the PS4 version when it comes out. Also announced today was the inclusion of Noctis, the main character in Final Fantasy XV, to the heroes of light’s roster.
To wrap things up, the dev team announced that the game will be playable at the E3 showfloor next week, so attendees can get their hands on epic 3v3 combat with their favorite FF characters.
You can enjoy the game’s announcement trailer below.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will debut on PlayStation 4 early into next year.
