Dead Cells: New Trailer Released Showing off Next Update and New Weapon

Unforgiving, and delightfully bright, roguelite platformer to continue to receive extended support in the future.

Steve from the Motion Twin team took a moment to talk over some of the upcoming features in the next update for the well-received ‘Roguevania’. Planned tweaks include the ability to deflect certain enemy attacks, as well as the re-inclusion of a fan-favourite weapon.

The developer also added that the team are continuing to work on more bespoke sections for the game, specifically citing that more in-game stores would be upcoming, with the next update adding at least one.

Our own Jorge said of the game, “Dead Cells is a not game for the faint of heart to say the least. Especially if you are not a fan of repeating content. The closest comparison that seems adequate would be a game like Rogue Legacy. You have all that randomization that you would find in a Roguelite game. Which is great, but keep in mind Rogue giveth and Rogue taketh. You will have runs where you will get great items that match your playstyle perfectly and you’re kicking monster butt. On the other hand, you will have runs where you get nothing and find an elite monster grinning at you. True story.”
